Here is his iPage Web Hosting review:
Hey everyone, I thought I'd give iPage a great review after my awesome experiences with their telephone customer support and just share it with everyone.
First, iPage offers something I haven't seen before. UPFRONT PRICING. When you load their homepage, you will notice their price says $3.50. Typically, what happens is you get all excited, go to purchase, and then find out that the lesser-term contracts are $7.95 and if you prepay for five years, you get it for the advertised price. Either way, you can tell the host just wants $150+ out of you, puts a bad taste in your mouth, and you say "forget about it."
Not with iPage though. The advertised price of $3.50 is good for 1 year, 2 years, and even 3 years if you want. For the one year package, you only pay $42.00 total. They do have upsells during the ordering process such as backups, but none of it is required.
Second, their support! I'm not the best when it comes to web hosting. It was all very confusing to me since this was the first time I've tried my hand at it. I was able to register my domain, setup 2 years of hosting for $84.00, and had my account within 10 minutes! iPage customer support was willing to practically hold my hand and show me the way. They even have a great help center that offers videos for designing your first web site.
Third, their website builder. If you don't have access to software such as Adobe DreamWeaver (expensive!), their website builder is the next best thing. It was developed for ease of use and doesn't have too many highly technical options to keep it simple. All I wanted was a few pages about my company that I could then advertise locally to get some new clientelle. Within a week, I had my first site up. So exciting.
By far, iPage was the best $84 I've spent. I'm online, my site gets some visitors, I've received some hits from email, and I even got a new client from the site already. He doesn't know this, but he just paid for my first year of web hosting! iPage is fantastic. If you are new to web hosting, iPage is the way to go. No doubt about it.
